- The chair of the department, in consultation with the dean as necessary, has the authority to assign and change the distribution of duties.
- Except as allowed by University policy, you are expected to devote full-time efforts to performing assigned duties for the University during the academic year. You should be on campus from registration week in the fall and be available to meet classes and perform your other duties through the end of the semester in May.
- Academic year salary is earned during the 9-month period from September I through May 31, but is paid in twelve equal installments during the period July through June. Your regular payday will be the last day of the month. Payments made in July and August are considered advances for the July I-June 30 academic year in which such payments are made.
- The University will make any required deductions from salary for income tax, social security and participation in the University's program of group insurance and medical coverage. You will receive those benefits for which you are eligible and that you elect, as described more fully in the Faculty Handbook, the Human Resource Policies, and the University's benefits plans and policies.
