Are you interested in learning to become a Wound Ostomy Continence nurse? We are looking to mentor you into this growing field! Responsibilities: This is a unique position working in a NP run clinic providing advanced level wound and ostomy focused care to patients of all age groups with direct patient care, telephone triage, patient education, care coordination, and some administrative responsibilities. Other responsibilities include procedural assistance and laboratory collection, committee involvement, willingness to travel to alternate clinic sites, participation in occasional evening support groups, and collaboration with health care providers, pharmacies and vendors within the scope of practice. Effective interpersonal communication and problem solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively and courteously with others is a must. Qualifications: BSN, NYS Licensed RN, CPR, BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA) required. Applicants will have a minimum of 3-5 years of RN experience. Ambulatory nursing care experience preferred. Wound Ostomy certification by the WOCNCB is strongly encouraged within 2 years.


Requires a Diploma, Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Nursing Program and an active New York State RN license in good standing. Applicants will have a minimum of 3 years of RN experience. This position utilizes expert skill and knowledge to deliver nursing care, directs others, and assumes the role as a care coordinator or preceptor.
