Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY:
The General Purpose of the Clinical Equipment Department Operations Supervisor is to manage all asset equipment and clinical equipment staff for Strong Memorial Hospital. The Supervisor will work one-on-one with the nursing managers, nursing staff, and equipment staff to efficiently monitor equipment location, battery levels, maintenance status, and stock levels based on active pars, subject to changing needs of the units. The Supervisor will ensure that patient care is not delayed or affected due to high levels of unused equipment that can be updated and be kept available for units in need.Subsequently, there will be a substantial cost savings due to better utilization and management of existing equipment, minimizing the demand for new equinment to be purchased.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work one-on-one w/ nurse managers to develop and adjust par levels for Alaris brains and channels, work w/ nursing staff and unused/excess equipmentprocedures, work w/ equipment staff on learning the mobile view program, rounds and collections, assist w/ units refusina to release eauioment
Data analysis for RTLS program, monitors results per unit on a monthly basis, adjusting PARs as needed, targets efficiency increases >50% per unit.Collecting data from the stores online order program and presenting these data to nursinn leadershio..
Work w/ Mobile View to monitor and locate offsite equipment and facilitatereturn to SMH, track and locate onsite equipment to return to Hospital Stores or Clinical Engineering
Work w/ Clinical Engineering on all RTLS tracking equipment issues (tag replacement, collecting equipment for battery replacement and overallmaintenance), work w/ Mobile View to monitor and locate offsite equipment and facilitate return to SMH
Establish and maintain equipment pars for all URMC, process RTLS intake forms for new, untagged equipment, work w/ IT on Wi-Fi issues and RTL$ hardware updates, monitor order form program for outstanding equipment calls
Confirming equipment staff are conducting daily assigned rounds through the entire Hospital, other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree
Two years supply chain experience, two years management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Must be familiar with Allscripts Supply Chain Solutions or comparable sun..,ly chain loQistics software, Stanlev Manaaement RTLS software
