Surgical Oncology - Soft Tissue - Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
Exciting new opportunity for an advanced practice provider to join the Division of Surgical Oncology in the treatment of soft tissue cancers. This is an opportunity to work among a dynamic interdisciplinary team that provides cancer related care to patients with soft tissue cancers. Responsibilities include: evaluation and management of new and established patients, ordering/interpreting/communicating diagnostic test and results, post-surgical follow ups, and ongoing survivorship visits. Opportunities exist for office-based procedures, and patient support and education. Participates in departmental meetings relevant to clinical duties. Ultimately, the APP will have an opportunity to grow a skill set to exercise independent judgement and initiative. Excellent communication and collaborative skills are a must. Experience as a advanced practice provider is strongly desired, though new graduates may be considered. The Candidate must possess a NYS NP/PA certification along with licensure or be eligible. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training.
Require a Master’s degree (or pending) as a Nurse Practitioner, an active New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing, an active/pending New York State Nurse Practitioner licensure in good standing and current/pending national certification as an Nurse Practitioner.
Requires completion (or pending) of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program, an active/pending New York State Physician Assistant licensure in good standing and current/pending national certification as a Physician Assistant by the NCCPA ( National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants)
NPs and PAs will demonstrate clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relations skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training.

Pay Range: $44.71 - 67.07
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
