Supervises and directs activities of materials supply to ensure correct receipt and delivery of medical materials and supplies. Provides facilitation and coordination of materials supply functions across the enterprise and affiliate organizations.
Under general direction and acts independently to determine methods and procedures for PPE supply chain. Determines and pursues courses of action essential to obtaining desired results. Utilizes high level of problem solving to integrate and interpret data from diverse sources to find solutions to supply chain complex problems.
Leads supply chain staff and works with supply chain mangers to ensure demand and receipt of PPE supplies while identifying and managing expiration dates ensuring proper rotation. Assisting in all warehouse functions pertaining to PPE.
Establishes and maintains positive relationships with providers, administrators and affiliate organizations. Investigates and follows through on questions, concerns or inquiries into supply. Triages appropriately.
Investigates customer and product complaints and follows through with appropriate action escalating as necessary to manager.
Assists in the development and interpretation of departmental operating policies and procedures and ensures that they are adhered to. Co-facilitates periodic meetings to communicate, review and discuss procedures and problems related to supply chain. Communicates policy changes out to customers.
Completes regular audits of on hand balance of warehouse inventory and creates monthly journal entries back to companies outside of SMH generating invoices for journal entry back up.
Keeps record of all customers (which include supply chain, affiliate med centers, SON, River Campus, SMD, Research Labs, all non-clinical office areas in SMH proper and clinical spaces that don’t currently have supply chain support).
Works with manager and buying personnel to maintain regulatory stock while working within space constraints- advises on remaining space and ability to create more space within various warehouse locations.
Two years post-high school education, four years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong skills in Microsoft Applications and experience with performance measurement and process improvement helpful. Medical terminology and supply chain experience is preferred. Ability to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time. Ability to lift and carry 60 lbs.
