Responsibilities
Overview :
The Department of Pediatrics, Division of General Pediatrics is hiring a Senior Instructor faculty position. This position includes emphasis on outpatient pediatrics care, resident teaching and education, and patient care and lifestyle counseling within the Center for Community Health and Prevention (CCHP).
Responsibilities :
Outpatient responsibilities include two half-day clinic sessions per week in the Golisano Children’s Hospital Pediatric Practice (GCHPP) and a limited amount of after-hours sessions and call. Clinicians will work collaboratively as an interdisciplinary team member to provide the highest quality clinical care possible.
Within CCHP,
Provide direct patient care for pediatric patients referred to CCHP clinical services. This direct patient care would include history, physical and patient-centered counseling and initiation of appropriate therapy and documentation in medical record.
Learn and become proficient at lifestyle counseling techniques using the tenants of self-determination theory and in collaboration with other CCHP clinical team members.
Assist the CCHP clinical team develop and implement family-based lifestyle programming.
Within the Hoekelman Center,
Teach in the Community Health and Advisory Resident Education (CARE) Track, specifically for public health research, political advocacy, local government, spreading the word regarding evidence-based community health, and advancing community projects.
Qualifications :
A successful candidate will have a strong background in community pediatrics and desire to educate and promote healthy lifestyle strategies. Candidates should have completed an ACGME accredited Pediatric residency, be board certified, or board eligible in Pediatrics. Applicants must have or be eligible for a New York State medical license and pass pre-employment drug testing.
Salary : Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Pay Range
Pay Range: $80,000 - $125,000 Annually
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
