The Collaborative Care & Wellness Division of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry invites applications for a full-time Psychiatrist position as an Assistant Professor or above. We are recruiting for a candidate with outstanding clinical and supervisory skills to join our oncology and palliative care team and help develop an integrated psycho-oncology service. Other clinical responsibilities with the department are negotiable. The psychiatrist will be based primarily at the University Of Rochester Wilmot Cancer Center and will be part of the oncology as well as psychiatry departments. We encourage applicants with leadership skills and research interests to apply.

The successful candidate is expected to provide direct clinical consultation to the oncology and palliative care teams, patients and families through a variety of modalities including telehealth as well as direct patient face to face encounters.

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Board certified psychiatrist

  • Board eligible/certified in psychosomatic medicine preferred

  • Active NYS license

  • Active DEA certification
