GENERAL PURPOSE: Plans, directs and serves as administrator of University and HR employee recognition programs and special projects. Manages program budgets and provides strategic development of the programs. Interprets and counsels staff on policies related to these programs. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages all aspects of University and HR employee recognition programs. Develops project plans and timelines. Works with committee chair(s) as applicable. Plans all aspects of annual event(s), as applicable. Evaluates effectiveness of program and services, reports observations and makes recommendations for continuous improvements in programs, policies and/or procedures.
Communicates and promotes the University and HR employee recognition programs to University faculty, staff and retirees to increase awareness and engagement. Develops and updates various communications used for the programs, including those required under federal or state regulations. Ensures website information is updated and accurate.
Manages all facets of vendor management, including contract review/renewal, evaluation of programs and services offered, pricing and customer service. Makes recommendations for change to Senior Director as appropriate. Monitors performance, identifies problem areas and assists in the development of new agreements.
Collects and analyzes benchmarking data comparing the University’s program and practices with local and national peers.
Manages all aspects of applicable special projects. Develops project plans and timelines. Evaluates effectiveness of program and services, reports observations and makes recommendations for continuous improvements in programs, policies and/or procedures. Evaluates for possible operational efficiencies.
Responsible for legal compliance, ensuring plan documentation is up-to-date and readily available. Ensures program and processes comply with all current federal and state regulations and requirements, including reporting, disclosures, and testing.
Responsible for assistance with budget creation, programmatic impact on budgets, and financial forecasting related to plan administration. Manages and reconciles account ledgers. Establishes and provides background support documentation for yearly budget approval process.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration required.
3 years of relevant experience, including organizing and administering enterprise-wide programs and budgets required.
