Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Analyst, with minimal direction and considerable latitude for independent judgment and initiative, performs routine and non-routine functions requiring high level financial and technical skills including database and systems design, creation, administration, and analysis skills in business planning and development. Creates and develops analytic reporting using multiple data sources such as Epic, HPM, Workday. Essential to the job are strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills as well as proven ability in financial analysis, database design and administration, data modeling, reporting and systems analysis. Interacts and collaborate with Department Heads and Program Administrators. Develops, implements and monitors budget controls and variance analyses procedures. Additionally, candidate must have extensive experience managing complex projects and development of metrics and financial performance indicators.

Responsibilities:

  • Determines methodologies and requirements for data administration, designs reports and performs financial analyses and trending for hospital expense management.

  • Oversee the development, analysis and distribution of key performance indicators relative to expense management as well as internal and external benchmarking. Develop reports and analyses for decision making and strategic planning.

  • Collaborate with departmental leadership to develop thorough business plans, providing financial analysis in support of revenue and expense expectations.

  • Manage development for the financial and volume portions of Certificate of Need (CON) applications for new programs and equipment. Prepares responses to requests for additional information and determines achievement of utilization targets.

  • Plans, recommends and initiates cost containment programs and efforts. Monitors program progress towards cost containment or reduction goals. Monitors departmental utilization and works with programs towards achieving utilization goals.

  • Supervises the preparation of comprehensive, comparative monthly financial statements and analyses. Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual reports detailing financial performance.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree, Masters preferred. 5-7 years of related experience preferred and 3-5 years of experience required. Computer proficiency to include Microsoft Office software applications. Extensive experience with performance measurement, analytics, process improvement, GAAP and financial reporting. Strong IT and project management skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Healthcare experience is preferred.
