The University of Rochester Medical Center is looking for a Sourcing Strategist to focus on developing strategies for faculty recruitment across our clinical and research missions. The ideal candidate will have experience partnering effectively with leaders to plan and unfold recruits that reinforce creating equitable access to job opportunities.

In collaboration with the URMC Talent Acquisition team, the Sourcing Strategist will develop comprehensive sourcing plans that support needs within the Faculty Recruitment pipeline, and will also focus on strategic development of partnerships that are likely to produce future candidates.

Strategies should include: Developing relationships with appropriate recruitment sources and programs that graduate relevant candidates, utilization of a variety of advertising sites, list-servs, and social media to post the job.

This will be achieved through:

  • Partnering with the Faculty Recruitment team to understand the needs of the department. Subsequently, identifying opportunities to develop relationships with programs and organizations that present opportunities for placement.

  • Collaborating with the University‚Äôs Offices of Equity & Inclusion to identify departments that need support in sourcing diverse candidate pools.

  • Consulting with departments on sourcing strategies and plans, with a focus on creating equitable access to opportunities.


Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience recruiting Faculty and Physicians preferred.
