Responsibilities
General Purpose:
As a platform Administrator and Developer m, the Analyst Programmer Senior will work closely with other team members on the University of Rochester Medical Center ISD ServiceNow platform team to assist with the design and development of the ServiceNow platform supporting the institution’s Strategic Plan and missions of education, research, and patient care. This member is part of a team of developer/administrators, under the guidance of the Technical Lead/Platform Architect, is responsible for the implementation, administration, development and support of Service Now.
Responsibilities:
25% Administers, installs, tests and maintains support for the ServiceNow platform.
25% Develops, documents, and creates automated testing for client, stakeholder, and project requests and initiatives.
25% Must be able to independently configure, customize and code development adhering to established guiding principles and best practices, as defined by the technical lead and service now success pillars.
10% Responsible for established development requirements that meet the client’s objectives as well as established development timelines.
10% Interact with clients and internal team members daily through meetings, email and follow up communications to assess needs. This will include business analysis and requirements definition as well as team planning and pure development review.
5% Applies knowledge of industry trends and innovations to improve service to our clients.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline such as Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Science or Engineering; and 3-4 years of related experience, preferably 1-2 years in a supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Skills:
Demonstrated understanding of relational databases and data models
Possesses working knowledge of at least one structured programming language
Experience with web technologies, including: JavaScript, jQuery, and HTML
Experience with web services, including: REST, SOAP, JSON or XML
Enthusiasm for learning new systems and business processes
Experience with Microsoft ASP.NET, MVC, SQL is preferred
Service Now certification preferred
