Responsibilities
To manage the acceptance and distribution of all facilities work. To manage communication with the customer, assuring satisfaction of work performed by University Facilities and that the customer’s required schedules are met. To act as the liaison with the trades mechanics and customers to ensure required resources are identified, planned, estimated, organized and scheduled prior to execution for efficient utilization of the maintenance resources. To assure the integrity of information contained in the facilities condition information database is maintained. To provide facilities condition information to appropriate University Facilities and Services departments prior to design; to recommend appropriate work actions as a result of the facilities condition information report. To develop scope of work and perform rough order of magnitude estimates. To assist in the preparation of capital budget requests. To educate and inform interested persons of University Facilities and Services work processes. Ability to engage employees by making them feel challenged and valued. Ability to work within a self-directed management team concept.
Associate Degree in relevant Engineering Technology and at least 3 to 5 years’ experience in maintenance or construction, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
