The Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center has an opening for a Research Associate Professor to lead and contribute to various research projects and publications within the ACTTION public-private partnership with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The mission of ACTTION is to identify, prioritize, coordinate, and sponsor innovative activities that will expedite the identification and development of efficacious and safe analgesic, addiction, and anesthetic therapeutic interventions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities will include collaboration on the preparation and publication of systematic and narrative reviews, meta-analyses, secondary data analyses, qualitative and quantitative studies, and recommendations from expert consensus meetings. Responsibilities will also include collaborating closely with the ACTTION leadership and external collaborators to design research projects, recruit participants, and collect, organize, analyze, and publish study results.

QUALIFICATIONS

Individuals with a doctoral degree in epidemiology, psychology, public health, sociology, or a related discipline are encouraged to apply. Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have been responsible for publication of multiple clinical research studies in peer-reviewed journals, alone or in collaboration with others. Must also have the ability to work both independently and in a team environment, supervise research collaborators, and manage study- and individual-level databases.
