Responsibilities

The Department of Public Health Sciences at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry is seeking to recruit non-tenure-track faculty at the level of Research Assistant Professor for the Division of Social and Behavior Sciences.

Successful candidates are expected to support the development of a cancer control and prevention research program paying special attention to the areas with greatest need in the Wilmot Cancer Institute catchment area. Candidates will be actively engaged in grant writing and manuscript submission. Moreover, candidates will implement training grants, and serve as principal investigators on internal funded cancer prevention and control research projects. All applicants must hold a doctoral degree in health services research, health policy, or a related discipline or equivalent degree. We expect that candidates will have at least 2 years of experience in cancer prevention and control research with special emphasis on underserved and underrepresented communities.
