Position Summary:

To manage the acceptance and distribution of all facilities work in the Medical Center Facilities Construction Shop. Meet with clients to determine scope of project. Initiate studies and reviews if required for project (Feasibility, Site Survey, Asbestos Survey, ICRA, EH&S;/Fire Marshall, HVAC) Prepares preliminary drawings for client review/approval. Document final project requirements, distribute to in-house trades & vendors with or without a walk through. Review with Commissioning Team for approval.


Bachelor's Degree in relevant field and at least 3 to 5 years' experience in maintenance or construction, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred knowledge and experience in the development of commissioning systems, construction & maintenance operations, building & fire codes, estimating techniques. Requires experience with programs associated with Microsoft Windows. Knowledge of building and fire codes preferred. Must have strong organization, communication and presentation skills. Must be able to deal professionally/effectively with all levels of University personnel. Ability to work within a self-directed management team concept.
