The University of Rochester School of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, is recruiting for a full time position (Assistant Professor /Associate Professor/ Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology appointment based on prior experience) MIGS fellowship-trained faculty to join Advanced Laparoscopy & Pelvic Pain, in the Division of Pelvic Health & Continence Specialties at the University of Rochester Medical Center, Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY. We are a busy academic referral practice that serves the Western New York region and also receives referrals from other regions of the United States and Southern Canada. In this position you will provide care to patients with complicated benign gynecologic & pelvic pain conditions and serve as a consultant for advanced minimally invasive surgical care. Pelvic pain care is provided within an interdisciplinary practice that includes surgeons, advanced practice providers, pelvic floor physical therapy, and behavioral health. Collaborative surgical care relationships are established with Urology, Colorectal Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, GYN-Oncology, and FPMRS.
Surgical & non-surgical management of simple & complex gynecologic disorders and chronic pelvic & vulvar pain
Surgical consultation for simple & complex gynecologic disorders & gender-affirming surgery
APP support for conservative management & patients' routine gynecologic care needs
Shared GYN call & GYN service coverage with the Division of Gynecology; no obstetrics
Core faculty for the MIGS fellowship and the OB-GYN core residency program including clinic, OR, teaching/didactics & simulation
Supervising faculty for medical students and residents/fellows from other services (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine - Women’s Health Track) who rotate through the clinical office

Scholarly Activity Role:
Mentor for fellow research
Opportunity to mentor OB-GYN resident & medical student research
Faculty will be mentored to develop a career path in research, education, QI science, or other academic niche
Established clinical, basic science, & QI research infrastructure

MD or equivalent
BC/BE in OB-GYN
Completion of AAGL-accredited MIGS Fellowship by the time of hire
Ability to obtain NYS license
Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority
Robotic surgery skills required
Experience in management of chronic pain conditions is preferred but faculty development available for the right candidate
Salary & academic rank will be commensurate with experience & achievements.
