The Hematology-Oncology Division at the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center, University of Rochester, is recruiting a Faculty Position (Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor level) with an outstanding record of accomplishment in clinical care and research activity in allogeneic and autologous marrow, cellular therapy, and blood stem cell transplantation. The candidate will be considered across broad areas of expertise including clinical trial outcomes, translational research and laboratory analysis of immune response. Academic rank and track will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
The successful applicant should have an MD, or MD/PhD or equivalent with a subspecialty in Hematology or Oncology. Candidate is expected to hold or be eligible to obtain a NY medical license. Board certification or board eligibility in hematology or oncology and completion of BMT fellowship program are required. Alternatively, candidate with extensive experience in allogeneic and autologous blood and marrow transplantation, cellular therapy, and/or cell processing lab experience will be considered. The Wilmot Cancer Center is the major resource for comprehensive cancer care, research, education, and community outreach in central New York State. The Blood and Marrow Transplant Program is a multidisciplinary FACT accredited program, offering allogeneic (related and unrelated), autologous SCT, and Immune Effector Cell therapy. Approximately 170 stem cell transplants were performed last year in addition to our growing Immune Effector Cell program. Many patients are registered on institutional and consortium investigational protocols.
Must meet all credentialing requirements including health assessment and drug testing.
