Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY:
Working under the direction of the Career Pathway Development Manager, the Pathways & Pipelines OD Specialist will partner with URMC department leaders to design and develop job pathways and programs that will provide clear career paths and necessary skills for employee development and advancement. This position is an integral part of the effort to become an employer of choice by attracting, retaining, and engaging talent as well as fostering a reputation for career opportunities and growth in the local community. In collaboration with the Career Pathway Development Manager, the Pathways & Pipelines OD Specialist will also collaborate with internal stakeholders as well as community partners to develop talent pipelines for high-demand, hard-to-fill positions in a welcoming, inclusive work environment for all employees
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Contributes to the development of career pathway structures, policies, and processes that support our ICARE Values and commitment to equity and inclusion.
Assists with development and execution of internal career programs and services, including online resources, to support staff career development, career navigation, and advancement.
Collaborates with community workforce partners to establish programs and pipelines for external talent.
Provides career navigation services to staff seeking job changes/advancement.
Applies state-of-the-art concepts and techniques to design, create, implement and evaluate competency-based education and training in support of staff development and career growth.
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in HR, OD, HRD or related field. Master’s preferred.
2 years HR experience with workforce development responsibilities or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint); strong organizational skills; strong written and verbal communication skills
