GENERAL PURPOSE:
Position requires a skilled technology professional with a large breadth of knowledge in many types of computing systems, both hardware and software. Excellent leadership and communication skills, and ability to adapt new technologies for advancement of state-of-the-art computer science academic research.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborates with other leaders in the department to adapt and develop academic, research, business and other systems and environments supporting the strategic plan and objectives of the department. This includes management of all varied, complex, and specialized systems, equipment,networking, and computing lab spaces for the Computer Science department.
Reports directly to the Chair of Computer Science as director of alldepartment technical services, equipment, lab spaces, and research support areas and provides direction, expertise, supervision and performanceevaluation to Computer Science technical staff members.
Develops the process and provides departmental oversight for procurement and onboarding of new equipment and technologies to advance computer science research and development.
Manages and advises department leaders regarding technology-related capital expenditures, depreciated and retiring equipment, and budget planning for future needs.
Represents the department of computer science across the organization ontechnical policy, network security, equipment, and other technological matters.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in related discipline such as Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Science or Engineering and 4-5 years of related experience; preferably 2-3 years in a supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's preferred.

Pay Range
Pay Range: $ 75,300 - $113,000 Annually
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
