Full Time 40 hours Grade 079 Path&Lab Clinical Trials



Under general direction from the Medical Technologist Specialist, and with latitude for independent judgment, performs complex laboratory assignments, may plan/conduct a complete project of limited scope or a portion of a larger and more diverse project. Candidates must be detail oriented, possess strong organizational skills and be able to work independently and as part of a highly functioning team.


  • Prepares and analyzes samples using moderate and high complexity methods and/or instrumentation including but not limited to qPCR, DNA Extraction, PBMC preparation and other clinical analysis as required. Receive, accession, label, store and triage Clinical Trial samples

  • Reports results of patient sample analysis using computer/instrument interface options or manual entry. Maintains thorough records of all activities regarding sample preparation and analysis. 10%

  • Assist in the inventorying and ordering supplies. 5%

  • Perform QC, preventative maintenance and equipment validations. 5%

  • May be involved in the training of others in defined technical areas. 5%

  • May perform other specialized duties as assigned. 5%


  • Associate's degree in appropriate discipline. Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related field preferred required.

  • 4-5 years specialized experience in related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.


  • Effective interpersonal skills, and maintains a friendly and courteous professional manner at all times. Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently with excellent attention to detail. Is able to prioritize, manage time and maintain focus while performing multiple tasks.
