Responsibilities

Duties:

Under the general direction/supervision of the Neuropsychologist, and exercising independent judgment, will perform psychological and or neuropsychological testing to rehabilitation patients in the inpatient and outpatient settings. Position requires critical thinking skills, a high level of autonomy, and strong clinical training/background in psychology (neuropsychology experience preferred).

  • Direct patient contact, involving administration of psychological and neuropsychological measures following clinical protocols

  • Independently operates testing equipment and maintains clinical files. Maintains testing equipment and is responsible for ordering necessary supplies

  • Recording and making specific behavioral observations of patient’s behavior during testing

  • Scoring the administered measures and documenting scores for review by the neuropsychologist

  • Participation in research activities to include literature reviews, manuscript prep and review and editing

  • Maintain clinical records and enter notes for each patient seen

  • Patients are typically seen at Clinton Crossings Outpatient location. Case load varies (typically averaging 4 evaluations per week).

  • Direct patient contact, administration of psychological and neuropsychological measures following clinical protocols

  • Recording and making specific behavioral observations of patient’s behavior during testing

  • Scoring the administered measures

  • Participation in research activities to include literature reviews, manuscript prep and review and editing

  • Provide administrative support related to patient contact; assist with keeping abreast of referrals and patient population; ensuring appropriate referrals and documentation is received prior to clinical service

  • Maintain clinical files and testing equipment. Responsible for ordering necessary supplies.

Requirements:

Associate's degree in appropriate discipline plus 2-3 years specialized experience in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prefer Master’s or Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
