Under the supervision of a Conversion Manager and in coordination with the Southern Region project managers and/or leaders, the Project Assistant plays a key role in many aspects of a successful cutover and go-live. Supports ambulatory sites by performing conversion of patient data from the existing EMR or paper to eRecord. Support other facets of the Southern Region eRecord go-live, including supporting provider and staff usage of clinical information systems (e.g. eRecord) and workflows in all hospital and practice settings. Assists the training team, as needed, and acts as a liaison between the help desk and the end user.
NOTE: This is an end dated position to end in April 2022.
Reviews patient data from an existing paper chart or EMR and transcribes specified data from the source into eRecord.
Based on a list of data provided, finds and scans (transcribes) data from the source into eRecord and indexes it appropriately.
Provides “at-the-elbow” support to providers and staff during cutover and go-live, in clinics, in-patient units, surgical areas, etc. as needed. Traveling to designated sites is required. Working off-shift hours, weekends, and flexible scheduling is required.
May assist with problem reporting and resolution for providers and staff at go-live. Traveling to designated sites is required. Working off-shift hours, weekends, and flexible scheduling is required..
Participates in training in order to then scan, index, and use applicable eRecord modules or other enterprise systems.
Attends required meetings, complies with all URMC policies and procedures. Informs direct supervisor and stakeholders informed of progress, status, and issues regarding assigned tasks.

High school diploma or equivalent required
No professional work experience is required.
1+ year of work experience is preferred.
Ability to quickly learn existing and new EMRs. Ability to enter/retrieve data in these systems and from standard Microsoft Office software preferred.
Ability to express complex concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing preferred.
Excellent customer service skills preferred.
Strong ability to prioritize. Strong attention to detail preferred.
If supporting training, have the ability to adapt training styles and techniques based on the end users ability and strengths preferred.
No professional certification required. Must be able to travel to designated sites as assigned.How To Apply
