Responsibilities

The NeuroMedical ICU at University of Rochester Medical Center/Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY is seeking a Neurocritical Care Instructor/Sr Instructor. Qualified candidates will be BC/BE in Anesthesiology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine. The candidate will join an active clinical practice in a collegial environment with ample opportunities for research, teaching, and academic advancement in addition to neurocritical care fellowship training.

The URMC NeuroMedical ICU is a state-of-the-art 12 bed closed unit utilizing the latest technology in neurocritical care. A comprehensive team of physicians, advanced practice providers, fellows and residents works collaboratively with the departments of neurology and neurosurgery to provide outstanding patient care. The ICU is supported by a committed nursing staff, rehab and palliative care specialists, and a dedicated social worker.

The University of Rochester Medical Center is a tertiary referral center for the region and a Comprehensive Stroke Center. It is anchored by Strong Memorial Hospital, an 886 bed University-owned teaching hospital.
