FT position available with on-call responsibilitiesResponsibilities
Dynamic individual desired to lead our unique Golisano Children’s Hospital Pediatric Imaging and Sedation Unit’s team of nurses. Responsibilities include overseeing nursing care delivery to mainly pediatric patients (both inpatient and outpatient), as well as a small percentage of adult patients requiring specialized imaging exams or imaging based treatments. Must possess the necessary skills to work in a fast-paced, technologically demanding environment to oversee and provide nursing support for our imaging, anesthesia, and sedation service patients. Ensuring nursing staff accountability, promoting nursing staff involvement in decision making, and demonstrating a level of approachability that fosters a collaborative environment are essential. Responsibilities include leading the nursing staff in developing and maintaining clinical expertise, patient and family centered care and collaborative practice within this multidisciplinary team. This candidate must be flexible, possess excellent communication, collaboration and critical thinking skills, with 5 years nursing experience which must include pediatric nursing expertise and an MS in Nursing. Requires active NYS license.Qualifications
Requires a Master's Degree in Nursing or related field and an active New York State license in good standing. Applicants will have 5 years experience as an RN with one to three years of leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The Nurse Manager directs all aspects of patient care, which includes managing nursing personnel and material resources in a cost-effective manner, unit planning and the initiation of innovative clinical and management practices with emphasis on retention strategies.How To Apply
