ID Access Control Coordinator III

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Public Safety ID Access Control Coordinator III

Under direct supervision with some latitude for the exercise of independent judgement while serving as a principal assistant to a defined university department, providing office management, supervisory oversite, and coordination support services for multiple storefront offices responsible for the creation of university ID’s and card reader access database revision & integrity. Prepares written policies and procedures for the creation/maintenance of ID’s; coordinates staff training; performs staff supervision & performance evaluations; maintains ID office operations and assures electronic equipment used for ID production environment remains constant. Control the integrity and confidentiality of University wide identification card / access control databases assuring system security at all times consistent with Homeland Security and University of Rochester recommendations. Provide reports and control requests from authorized parties for the release of confidential and sensitive information associated with ID and access control data. Performs accounting and deposit duties for cash handling operations associated with daily business operations at the University ID Offices. Serves as a DPS departmental liaison in matters of ID card production. Has latitude to recommend new hires & ID staff promotions and to approve purchase of office related equipment & supplies.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $19.37 - $27.12 Hourly

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
