GENERAL PURPOSE:This individual will lead and execute a full framework of HR dashboarding along with program management on a set of strategic HR programs aligned with our priorities. Examples of program management are

a) prepping for the Board on a quarterly basis to present related HR metrics

b) Working with HR leaders on partnerships and programs to build and retain employees

c) Support strategic HR initiatives such as Pathways and Pipelines, Diversity and Inclusion, and Underrepresented minority reporting.

This role reports to URMC's Director of Staff Equity & Inclusion, Manager, and works closely with the Manager of HR User Security and Data Integrity, the CHRO, the HR leadership team and key executives.


  • Based on requests from the HR Leadership Team, gathers data and runs reports from the HR applications including HRMS (Oracle PeopleSoft), MyPath (Cornerstone), eCompensation (Oracle Cloud Compensation) and other HR Analytics, Talent Management, Recruitment and Onboarding Systems.

  • Analyzes data for trends and anomalies. Cleanses and harmonizes data for uniform comparisons. Performs root cause analysis to determine information that changes over a given time horizon. Move from producing reporting to create analytics to driving predictive analytics future.

  • Prepares professional level analytics (reports, graphs, and charts) for consumption by the HR Leadership team and executives. Generate metrics to evaluate effectiveness, ROI, and inclusivity of programs, and identify insights that will drive continuous improvement and sustainability in key HR areas, including workforce performance, recruiting, turnover and engagement.

  • Coordinates with University IT HR application teams the requirements for additional data elements to facilitate better analytics

  • Other requests as needed


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Analysis or Business Administration

  • 5-10 years of related experience in HR Systems and data analysis experience

  • Skilled in data analytical toolkits such as SQL, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Adobe, and Tableau

  • Experience with Workday HCM, Oracle PeopleSoft, and Cornerstone Software Suite is preferred

  • Has solid analytical skills with the ability to interpret, summarize, and make recommendations based on data.

  • Ability to solve problems and handle complex details. Uses independent judgment and takes initiative in absence of specific directions.

  • Exceptional communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and problem-solving skills; ability to effectively address tricky situations and have difficult conversations

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and entrepreneurial environment and versatility to manage multiple projects, priorities, and urgent issues successfully and simultaneously

  • Self-starter with strong organization skills/detail orientation, ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment

  • Must be detail-oriented, analytical and have systems thinking approach to problem-solving, understanding how things affect one another in an overall system

  • Possesses a strong work ethic and initiative with a mindset of accountability and ownership
