GPS Team - Senior Assistant Nurse Manager, Level IV

Responsibilities
The best candidate for this dynamic role has the ability to think on their feet, while helping meet the needs of this rapidly changing team. They will do so by supporting the team nurse manager and existing assistant managers in daily team operations including the following:
Evaluate new requests for the Telle-sitter and bedside GPS programs
Round on staff and current patients to support and trouble shoot unit and patient needs.
Work with multiple unit charge nurses and GPS charge to evaluate appropriate interventions to achieve patient safety.
Cross train in scheduling and payroll policies and procedures.
Have a primary focus on onboarding and orientation processes, including coaching, developing learning modules, and documentation of progress.
Coach and mentor staff to achieve annual team and individual professional goals, including annual competencies and skills training.
Provide direct supervision in the absence of the manager to maintain team operations.
This position requires a BSN, and active New York licensure, 3-5 years nursing experience, and recent formal leadership experience.
Qualifications
Requires a BSN or matriculation in a BSN program from an accredited Nursing Program and an active New York State license in good standing. Applicants will have a minimum of 5 years or RN experience. This position is a member of the unit/service leadership team, demonstrates the ability to develop standards of care, unit/service goals, and objectives, and provides consultation and expertise in delivering patient care.

Pay Range
Pay Range: $ 88,795 - $124,301 Annually
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
