Gastroenterology and Hepatology Clinic - Assistant Nurse Manager, Level IV

Responsibilities

The Gastroenterology Division is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to oversee clinic operations in their busy and growing department. Duties include assisting the NM in oversight of nurses and techs at both Sawgrass GI and AC5 GI clinic, monitoring day-to-day operations, and facilitating optimal patient throughput. Will become proficient in clinic procedures and assist with staffing as needed to meet patient volume needs. Will assist with JCAHO readiness, QA/PI activities, and resolving patient concerns. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, skilled in communication and collaboration with members of an interdisciplinary team, and a proven change agent. The individual must be interested in promoting initiatives to improve patient care/access, and patient/staff satisfaction. RN with current NYS license, Bachelor’s Degree, and at least 5 years of professional nursing experience required. Previous leadership experience preferred, but not required.

Qualifications

Requires a BSN or matriculation in a BSN program from an accredited Nursing Program and an active New York State license in good standing. Applicants will have a minimum of 5 years or RN experience. This position is a member of the unit/service leadership team, demonstrates the ability to develop standards of care, unit/service goals, and objectives, and provides consultation and expertise in delivering patient care.
