Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION:

At the direction of the Desktop Offsite Supervisor, assists with workstation setup, deployment and support. Works with Offsite Desktop and Southern Region resources to ensure project deadlines are met and work is documented. Some independent judgement and decision making is necessary.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Unpack, image and configure workstations, laptops and carts with direction from Supervisor and/or designated resources. 25%

  • Assists in the deployment of new and replacement systems, printers and other peripherals, ensuring customer satisfaction, accuracy, timelines and priority are all met. 25%

  • In collaboration with Desktop team, provides end user support to all hospital departments, doctors' offices, medical associations, hardware/software vendors and various other information systems users, employing proper telephone etiquette and customer service methods. 20%

  • Updates computer inventory, software license and other related databases with direction from Supervisor and/or designated resources. 10%

  • Works collaboratively with the workstations project team to ensure accurate and complete documentation is obtained in order to input critical information into the data base. 10%

  • Follows departmental guidelines regarding time, project management, and time recording. 5%

  • Other duties as assigned 5%

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Minimum Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

    Experience:

  • At least six months of related technical or customer service experience required.

  • Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Project management skills preferred.
