Construction/Renovation Estimator

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Conducts detailed analyses of defined systems specifications and assists in the design and preparation of programs.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Under direct supervision and with some latitude for independent judgment:

  • Conducts detailed analyses of systems specifications by developing all levels of program.

  • Codes program instructions and assists in preparing test data; tests and debugs programs. Revises and refines programs, and documents same.

  • May confer under supervision with user departments by providing assistance in data preparation and management, program design and testing; package selection and use of systems, software and equipments.

  • Provides consultation support on installed system support and related programs; may instruct large user groups on such systems.

  • Keeps abreast of trends as they relate to the computer field by self-study, attending job related seminars, courses of conferences which enhance personal development and strengthens the user service function.

  • Performs other related duties, including presentation of seminars, courses and instruction on computer services as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in related discipline such as Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Science or Engineering, and 1-2 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $ 18.27 - $ 33.65 Hourly

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
