CEW Resource Manager

The Resource Manager must demonstrate autonomous planning and decision making, resource management and professional communication skills, fiscal responsibility, and possess exceptional customer service focus. Using all these skills, this position is responsible to plan for and align all resources to assure that revenue targets and client needs are met for all service lines in UR Medicine Center for Employee Wellness (CEW), including biometrics, condition management (CM) and group wellness programs. This requires a holistic understanding of the expertise and skill level of providers, client-specific engagement targets and contract metrics, and overall CEW annual goals in order to be strategic with resource alignment. Understanding and appreciation of CEW business model and revenue projections is critical. This position provides optimal resource management (staffing and non-staff resources) enabling alignment of annual budgeted revenue goals with allocation of resources for CEW. This position actively participates in engagement strategies to grow volume in programs, monitor and report program Quality Metrics, supervises Biometric Clerks, and advises leadership team on progress and limitations of personnel resource management. Resource Manager works closely with Client Engagement Manager(s) and Program Director to ensure that contractual obligations and other deliverables are being met.


Engagement Planning:

  • Works collaboratively with Program Director and Marketing/Engagement Manager gaining an in-depth understanding of client contracts, past and projected volume/engagement, budget assumptions and projections in order to optimize and align resources to meet screening, CM, and group wellness program targets both by client and practice wide.

  • Responsible for implementing engagement strategies to reach above metrics.

  • Uses independent judgment to determine appropriate enrollment in various programs, consulting with leadership team when necessary and recommending course corrections as necessary to meet overall goals.

  • Ensures scheduling of non-staffing resources, including location/room reservations, access, infrastructure, and supportive services (technology, translation, etc.) for each service line.

CM Client Engagement:

  • Oversees and initiates direct engagement and communication for those referred to CM coaching and group programs and to educate potential clients on what coaching programs can do for them.

  • Verifies eligibility and consent clients for coaching programs; ensures clients are referred to appropriate clinician for first visits, have received appointment confirmation and program materials prior to first appointment, and have completed any necessary paperwork as required.

  • Responsible for smooth administrative flow of client engagement throughout program.

  • Responsible for daily monitoring of internal reports of clients requiring outreach and/or appointments.

  • Generates appropriate correspondence with the goal of re-establishing contact and participation.

  • Establishes and monitors self-scheduling options at appropriate locations.

  • Documents in Wellness Program Manager as required

Clinician Scheduling:

  • Manages scheduling process for Biometric clinics, CM coaching, and group wellness programs.

  • Manages provider schedules and case load, ensuring efficient use of staffing resources while also meeting client needs. Must have thorough knowledge of CEW business and practice model and strategic plan for future volume growth to effectively manage resources.

  • Collaborates with leadership team to establish and adhere to protocols and processes.

  • Updates leadership team on provider caseloads, wait times for new appointments, and make recommendations for scheduling and process efficiencies.


  • Schedules and manages logistics for in-person and web-based group workshops based on client needs, annual schedule, and clinician available.

  • Confirms completion of workshops and completes workshop log template for billing and reporting processes.

Analyses and Reporting:

  • Manages identified Quality Assurance and Clinician Productivity metrics for the Biometric Screening, CM, and Group Wellness programs. Reports results on routine basis to leadership team.

  • Prepares routine employer report metrics for review and input from leadership team.

  • Routinely collaborates with providers to assure accurate client status reporting and resolution.

  • Identifies opportunities for improvements in client engagement processes.

Biometric Clerk Staffing:

  • Manages/Supervises biometric clerks, including assigning coverage for clinics as well as other duties as needed.

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 3 years of related work experience including at least 1 year in an administrative capacity in an academic or clinical office or with project management, or the equivalent experience in business required.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $ 20.00 - $ 38.46 Hourly

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
