GENERAL PURPOSE:

Responsibilities are focused on providing expertise and support to management and business functional areas in planning for business interruptions.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Performs business impact analysis (BIA), application impact analysis (AIA) and facility-based risk analysis according to established business continuity risk management practices.

  2. Facilitates in-person workshops with departmental leadership and other stakeholders to process map critical business functions, normal business processes, workflows, recovery, downtime, processes and strategies.

  3. Delivers business continuity management education and awareness to staff to ensure labor pool resiliency.

  4. Completes gap analysis and process improvement related to program requirements.

  5. Documents and translates workshop and various analysis information using a business continuity management software solution. Creates meaningful reports for use across all levels of the enterprise.

  6. Acts as application administrator for business continuity application tool (e.g. Fusion). Serves as escalation point for Help Desk Support and point of contact for vendor maintenance. May supervise junior staff and/or interns as teams grows.

  7. Develops and maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), guidelines and other documentation. Maintains related documentation for business continuity application tool, including application manual, end user manual, University IT Knowledge Base.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare or business continuity required. 4-6 years of experience in business continuity required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong working knowledge required of HIPAA, Joint Commission and other regulatory and accrediting business continuity controls relevant to UR and URMC and affiliate. Business continuity certification (BRCI, DRI, ISO or equivalent) and certifications in FEMA ICS 100, ICS 200, IS 700 and IS 800 preferred.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $68,765 - $103,147 Annually

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
