8 AM-5 PM
THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN GREECE, NY.
Provides diagnostic, habilitative and rehabilitative services related to hearing.
Under general direction and with latitude to exercise independent judgment:
Works with both routine and complex patients to perform and interpret diagnostic audiological evaluations and tests, perform hearing aid evaluations, fittings and counseling, and plan and provide aural rehabilitation.
Manages audiologic care for patients seen only in Audiology and for patients seen by an interdisciplinary health care team.
Maintains comprehensive records for each patient according to established procedures. Communicates information regarding audiologic patient care through written reports and hospital chart notes.
Recommends changes in standard patient care practices.
Responsible for clinical teaching with medical students and house staff regarding audiological disorders. May supervise graduate student interns.
Identifies potential research projects. Assists with the design and implementation of clinical research. May assist in data collection activities.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Master's degree in Audiology. Prefer 1-2 years clinical experience in Audiology. Eligibility for Certificate of Clinical Competence and New York State license in Audiology.
