POSITION SUMMARY: Helps to supervise and direct clinical services of Eastman Dental in the Division of Orthodontics. Responsibilities include direct patient care, clinical supervision of dental residents, teaching Orthodontics, participating in research projects, dental health programs, or any other activities as necessary or required. Faculty position will be at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Dentistry, within the Eastman Institute for Oral Health at the University of Rochester Medical Center. In addition, a medical staff appointment within Eastman Dental Center is required.
SUPERVISION AND DIRECTION: EIOH Director, Chair Division of Orthodontics, Administration SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Clinical Care and Teaching - 90%
Provides direct patient care.
Acts as a positive role model in the provision of care, efficiency of practice and professional approach.
Ensures quality provision of care and a patient friendly clinical service system responsive to the needs of all patients.
Interacts with the Orthodontic and TMJ Residency Program Director towards meeting educational goals.
Administrative - 10%
Provides input for the development, review and update of departmental procedures and policies.
Attends administrative meetings, as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: DDS/DMD or comparable degree and post-doctoral residency in Orthodontics/TMJ
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years hospital-based (or affiliate) practice
License/Certification: NYS license eligible, and credentialed with approved DOP per medical staff guidelines
Skills: As delineated in credentials and DOP
Additionally: Post-offer health assessment and drug screen is required. Pay Range
Pay Range: $120,000 - $135,000 Annually
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
