Faculty job description:
The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Rochester is actively recruiting a Clinical Medical Physicist position. This is a full-time position, non-tenure with primary assignments at Strong Memorial Hospital. Clinical responsibilities include quality assurance of linear accelerators and other clinically related quality assurance tasks as well as participating in complex clinical procedures.
Minimum requirements include a Ph.D. degree in the area of Radiotherapy Physics with 1-3 years of clinical experience. Candidates should be Board Certified (or Board Eligible). Recent graduates of an accredited medical physics residency are also encouraged to apply. Ability to obtain NYS licensure or permit to practice is essential. A post-offer health assessment is required. The faculty appointment level and salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s accomplishments and experience.
