BC/BE Adolescent Medicine Specialist –

The Division of Adolescent Medicine within the Department of Pediatrics, University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor for an academic position.

The ideal candidate is a BC/BE Adolescent Medicine Specialist who is committed to becoming an active member of the clinical, educational, and research programs, and who thrives in a collaborative environment of patient care, scholarship, and mentorship. To the extent possible, we seek to align the applicant’s career development goals with those of the University, Department, and Division. We also seek a candidate with outstanding interpersonal skills, integrity, warmth, good humor, diligence, and a high level of energy who can celebrate one’s own accomplishments, as well as the accomplishments of the entire Division.

The Division is dynamic and progressive, with a biopsychosocial approach and clinical expertise in eating disorders, sexual and reproductive health, and health care for transgender and gender diverse adolescents and young adults. Niche and potential growth opportunities exist in PrEP, sports medicine, substance abuse, male health and transition to adult care. The template FTE includes clinical work (both inpatient and outpatient), and academic, research, and administrative time.
