University of Rochester Asst Professor in Rochester, New York
The University of Rochester School of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Generalist Division is recruiting for a full time academic position (Assistant Professor level). Qualifications include Board certified/eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
This applicant will join the department in the division of general obstetrics and gynecology and as a member of the Center for Chronic Pelvic Pain and Vulvar Disorders. Interest in and desire to care for patients with chronic pelvic pain is necessary. Experience in minimally invasive surgery for the management of chronic pelvic pain is ideal, but not required. Research activities are encouraged. The applicant will be expected to demonstrate an interest and enthusiasm for teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. The majority of time will involve direct patient care in an outpatient setting with surgical and inpatient time allotted as necessary for patient care. The Center for Chronic Pelvic Pain and Vulvar Disorders is a multidisciplinary team that includes faculty attending physicians, our MIGS fellow, midlevel providers, a pelvic floor physical therapist, a clinical psychologist, and nursing staff. Ability to work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is necessary.
