Faculty Job Description:
Full-time Faculty position as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Pulmonary and Critical Care Division at the University of Rochester Medical Center, Rochester, New York.
The University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC), a leading academic institution, seeks outstanding candidates to join the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine in the Clinician-Educator-Scholar Pathway. Protected time is available for basic, clinical, as well as translational research in the areas related to lung diseases including pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, sepsis, asthma, environmental pollutants, and cancer. Clinical practice opportunities include the medical intensive care units, inpatient pulmonary disease consultation services, outpatient pulmonary disease subspecialty clinics, and regional programs. We seek individuals with an M.D. or equivalent, and a passion for academic medicine who are board eligible or board certified in Pulmonary Diseases and/or Critical Care Medicine who have completed a three-year fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine to join our diverse and collegial faculty group.
Qualifications:
M.D. Degree or equivalent
Eligible for a New York State Medical License
Eligible for a Faculty Appointment at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry
Eligible for Board Certification in Pulmonary Diseases and/or Critical Care Medicine
Post offer Drug Screen and Health Assessment required
Compliance with University and New York State health requirements
