University of Rochester Department of Psychiatry has an opportunity for an Addiction Psychiatrist to join the energetic and dedicated team of our alcohol and drug use disorder treatment program, Strong Recovery, in the pursuit of clinical and academic excellence.
This full-time Medical Director position includes an academic appointment with University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry at the rank of assistant or associate professor, commensurate with experience and accomplishments, and ample opportunities for faculty development within a robust tradition of mentorship. Teaching and clinical supervision of psychiatric residents and fellows, medical students and other trainees is an integral part of this position, along with involvement in process improvement, program development, and development of an Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship.
With over 100,000 visits per year, we are a major provider of outpatient addiction treatment services to our diverse and vibrant community in Western New York. Our program consists of an interdisciplinary team of clinicians including an addiction psychiatrist, an addiction medicine physician, nurse practitioners, chemical dependency counselors, mental health counselors, a rehab therapist and nurses. It is located in a facility which includes primary care, a partial hospitalization program, and an outpatient treatment program for severely mentally ill individuals.
