The NeuroMedicine Intensive Care Unit program at UR Medicine (University of Rochester) is seeking to grow the program by recruiting an additional UCNS eligible or certified Neurointensivist. The program and ICU is brand new and this is a unique opportunity to help build a program from the ground up. The candidate will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team of providers and work collaboratively with neurology and neurosurgery in the care of critically ill patients. Extensive research and teaching opportunities are available. A number of new research studies and trials are in the works. Efforts are ongoing to establish UCNS and CAST fellowship programs in Neurocritical Care.
The University of Rochester Medical Center is a --- bed teaching hospital and a Level 1 trauma center. The brand new 12 bed NeuroMedicine ICU opened its door in July 2014. The ICU is staffed 24/7 by critical care advanced practice providers, residents from Neurology, Neurosurgery and anesthesia and critical care fellows.
