DEPARTMENT OF ORAL MEDICINE
Eastman Institute for Oral Health (EIOH) is seeking applications for a full time academic track position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Oral Medicine. Candidates should possess a DDS/DMD degree advanced training in Oral Medicine and experience in Special Care Dentistry. Certification by the American Board of Oral Medicine is preferred. Candidates must be eligible for a New York State dental license.
Responsibilities include teaching in the postgraduate didactic and clinical programs, scholarly activity that advances knowledge in the area of oral medicine and special needs dentistry, clinical consultations, clinical supervision at the EIOH-affiliated clinics, and involvement in administrative tasks. Likewise, taking a lead role in the departmental educational programs is expected. Candidates at the Associate Professor level will be expected to have a record of research accomplishments including extramural funding. EIOH offers opportunities to participate in a multidisciplinary clinical team with all EIOH departments and affiliated clinics, to work at a hospital environment at the University of Rochester Medical Center, and to collaborate in basic sciences research at the Center of Oral Biology. Opportunity to participate in the EIOH faculty practice is also available.
