The Division of Pediatric Nephrology is actively recruiting a BC/BE pediatric nephrologist to join our academic practice at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level.
Our Division is comprised of 6 attending pediatric nephrologists (4 full-time, 2 part-time), a pediatric renal nutritionist, 2 dedicated RNs, a nurse practitioner, 2 health project coordinators, a dedicated social worker and a diverse and talented group of administrative support staff. The division has an ACGME accredited pediatric nephrology fellowship and recently has been rated in the top 50 pediatric nephrology programs by US News and World Report. The division has a long standing track record for basic science and clinical research, with emphasis in chronic kidney disease, acid/base physiology, and hypertension. Opportunities also exist for research collaboration with our robust adult nephrology program.
Candidates interested in focusing on a research path, either clinical or basic science, will be afforded substantial protected time and are especially encouraged to apply. Golisano Children’s Hospital in Rochester is a new and state of the art facility with comprehensive services and recognized as the premier quaternary care pediatric institution in central and western New York State. The division provides the full spectrum of pediatric nephrology services, including renal replacement therapy, acute and chronic dialysis, and renal transplantation. The position includes a competitive salary, research support, and generous start-up funding.
The position will entail an academic appointment in the Division commensurate with experience. Applicants are required to have an MD/DO (or equivalent), be BC/BE in pediatric nephrology and be eligible for licensure in the State of New York.
