University of Rochester Assoc Professor/Assistant Professor in Rochester, New York
Full Time 40 hours Grade 000 Vascular Surgery
The Division of Vascular Surgery is seeking a board certified surgeon for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The division practices in a large referral academic hospital, and three associated community hospitals. The group maintains a high-volume open surgical practice encompassing all aspects of vascular reconstruction. In addition, there is a robust endovascular program, with full access to imaging equipment and a hybrid operating room, and a busy outpatient vein center. There is a significant potential for clinical volume growth in a region with a high prevalence of vascular disease. The section is supported by full-time research personnel, and has productive clinical and translational science research projects, which are funded. The applicant will be actively involved in the teaching and clinical training of medical students, surgical residents and Vascular Surgery integrated residents.
The applicant must be certified by the Vascular Surgery Board of the American Board of Surgery and have completed an ACGME-accredited residency or fellowship in Vascular Surgery. At least three years of clinical practice is preferred. Applicants should have strong open and endovascular surgical skills, and demonstrate a commitment to research and teaching within a university tenure track system.
