Analyst/Programmer Trainee

POSITION SUMMARY:

Assists in the preparation of less complex program instructions and program documentation; codes language instructions; prepares test data; tests and debugs programs.

SUPERVISION AND DIRECTION EXERCISED :

None.

MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT USED :

Computer units and related work aids.

TYPICAL DUTIES :

  1. Assists in the review and analysis of detailed systems specifications and in the preparation of program instructions. Writes programs that are routine and semi-routine in nature; makes minor revisions to existing programs.

  2. Assists in preparing test data; tests and debugs as required and provides results to higher level programmers or researchers.

  3. Assists in the documentation of program procedures, job control quality statistics and the maintenance of program libraries.

  4. Prepares and submits production jobs including routine control language revisions.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Associates degree in Computer Science and 1-2 years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $ 18.89 - $ 26.44 Hourly

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
