University IT and the Center for Integrated Research Computing (CIRC) provide University-wide leadership for the extensive and diverse technology initiatives required by a leading research university. As the primary hub for IT programs and initiatives, this organization engages constituents University-wide to provide:
Advanced computational and data analytics support to departments and centers across the University.
Enterprise-wide academic and administrative applications.
An institution-wide information security program to protect the University’s data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Robust IT infrastructure including a 24x7 150-mile optical network and 12,000 square foot primary and secondary Data Center facilities.
And, a collaborative and diverse team that creates integrated, secure and dependable IT systems and practices that support efficient and cost-effective distribution of information in support of University missions.
The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Analyst Lead is responsible for supporting all areas of identity and access management. This includes providing technical expertise and leadership for the design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance and customization of identity related applications and services.
Under general guidance and with latitude for independent judgment and initiative:
25% - Lead and drive software development, stabilization and maintenance support for authentication related services: Identity Management, Duo Security, Unique ID, and Guest Account System.
20% - Lead projects, includes creation of overall plan, test plans/data and estimates. May evaluate and recommend business process improvement and automation.
15% - Lead data analysis activities and create queries/reports to help aid in resolving data integrity issues.
10% - Lead the creation of system design specifications, design reviews and code walkthroughs.
10% - Lead end user requirement sessions and assist in the translation of the business requirements into configurable software components and rules.
5% - Drive best practice change/code management and ensure technical documentation is maintained.
5% - Maintain a broad knowledge of technology, equipment and systems.
5% - Provide on-call and after-hours support as required
5% - Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Demonstration of the following knowledge and skills is expected:
Proficiency with writing complex queries for relational databases (Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, etc.)
Experience designing cohesive systems from complex and decentralized data sets
Experience with translating business needs into solution requirements
Strong leadership, project management, verbal and written communication skills
Ability to learn new technologies quickly and to handle multiple tasks at one time to meet required deadlines
Ability to contribute both individually and as part of a team
Experience with IBM Identity Management Software products: Security Identity Manager (ISIM), Tivoli Directory Integrator (TDI), Tivoli Adapter Development Toolkit (ADT), and WebSphere preferred
Experience in integrating Identity Management products with identity stores such as Oracle LDAP, MS Active Directory and access management protocols such as SAML preferred
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline such as Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Science or Engineering, and 4-5 years of related experience, preferably 2-3 years in a supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree preferred.
