Alzheimer's Disease Care, Research and Education (ADCARE) - Nurse Practitioner,
Under general supervision of the Principle Investigator, the AD-CARE Nurse Practitioner functions within the full scope of nursing practice, which includes being responsible for the process of patient identification, assessment, planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and coordination of care to meet the patient’s health care needs. The FNP will collaborate with clinical trial study team to ensure safe, quality care during the patient’s entire course of participation in a clinical research trial. Other specific responsibilities include clinical trial coordination, obtaining patient and caregiver consent and past medical history, verifying patient clinical trial eligibility, administering clinical assessment scales, completing physical and neurological exams, and administering study medication. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training. Required: NYS RN license; Master’s Degree in Nursing, ANCC or Board Certified Eligible.
Requires a Master's Degree in Nursing or related field and an active New York State license in good standing. Applicants will have 5 years experience as an RN with one to three years of leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The Nurse Practitioner influences the quality and delivery of care in various roles including consultant, researcher, mentor, and practitioner. This role may be unit, program, or service based and is involved in continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Pay Range: $44.71-67.07
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
