Opportunity for APP per diem work on a dynamic team. Hours include D/E/N, 8 and 10 hour shifts available. The 19200/G9200 APP will work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team on our two acute adult medical units. The APP will work with an attending on a team of patients, providing assessments, interventions, and medication management as needed. Role includes assessing acute medical concerns as a consultant to adult inpatient psychiatry units. Excellent team, interpersonal, and communication skills needed. The NP/PA will also participate in the education of learners, using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training. Qualifications: must be a licensed as a Physician Assistant in NYS and possess ANCC Certification as a Nurse Practitioner. BLS/ACLS required. At least one year of experience in an acute setting required for per diem positions. Requires a Master's Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant related field and an active New York State license in good standing.Qualifications

Applicants will have 5 years experience as an RN with one to three years of leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The Nurse Practitioner influences the quality and delivery of care in various roles including consultant, researcher, mentor, and practitioner. This role may be unit, program, or service based and is involved in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program, licensure in good standing, and certified as a Registered Physician Assistant. Demonstrated clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relation skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn.
