The University of Rochester International Theatre Program has an immediate opening for a Box Office, Concessions & Front-of-House Manager for Theatre Program productions. This is a Time-As-Reported position, with approximately 260 hours worked for the season. The Box Office, Concessions and Front-of-House Manager manages the financial operations including ticket and concession sales, reservations, patron services (including ushering, safety and emergency procedures); schedules, trains, oversees student interns and ushers; and procures and manages concessions. Much of the work can be done flexibly off-site with access to the internet and over the phone. Most on-site work takes place after 5pm. Interested applicants should have outstanding organizational skills, be extremely detail oriented, excellent at multi-tasking, work well under pressure, and have above-average computer skills. They must be dynamic, personable and responsible, with an ability to interact with the public, and to supervise, and manage students. Retail experience and an understanding of how to operate a cash register, and balance cash and credit card charges are a significant plus. Must be available to work evenings and weekends during the run of productions. An interst in theatre is a plus, but not a prerequisite. A willingness to work within a unique environment of the Arts is essential.
High School education and 3-4 years related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
