The University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC), a leading academic institution, seeks outstanding candidates to join the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine in the Clinician-Educator-Scholar Pathway. The University of Rochester is a national leader in translational research and lung biology research and maintains a strong and active program in faculty development. Protected time is available for basic, clinical, as well as translational research in the areas related to lung diseases including pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, sepsis, asthma, environmental pollutants, and cancer. Ample opportunities and resources for teaching are available and welcome. We have competitive fellowships in Pulmonary/Critical Care and Critical Care Medicine, with long-standing support provided by an NIH T32 training grant. Clinical practice opportunities include the medical and surgical intensive care units, inpatient pulmonary disease consultation services, and an outpatient pulmonary disease subspecialty clinic.
