Responsibilities

General Responsibilities:

The Analyst/Programmer is a member of the Systems and Data Analysis (SDA) team of the Social Work and Patient & Family Services Departments. The Analyst/Programmer, working closely with the other analysts in the SDA team, shares responsibility for the data, technology and information needs of SW and P&FS;, and other related departments. Maintains and updates department databases. Creates and validates departmental reports. Designs, implements and maintains department SharePoint sites. Manages department equipment needs. Performs other related duties including, presentations, classes and individual trainings.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Designs, evaluates, installs, tests and maintains multiple databases for tracking data.Provides technical consultation, support and maintenance after implementation.
  • Develops and maintains department SharePoint/websites which consists of information for the following programs: Social Work; Utilization Management; Financial Counseling; Financial Case Management; Chaplaincy Services; Communications Center; Interpreter Services; and Administrative Services.
  • Provides consultation and support in generation of standard and ad hoc departmental reports; particular emphasis on monthly dashboards and department statistics.
  • Manages the information technology needs of departmental initiatives by:1) Providing 100% of Tech Support for Social Work and Patient & Family Services and related departments (approximately 350+ employees); 2) Collaborating with ISD on recommendations for all new and replacement computers. 3) Reallocating and installing equipment; and 4) maintaining the departmental equipment database.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Business, Health Care or relevant field and 2-3 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Significant experience in Database & Website development, Technical support and MS Office (w/emphasis in Excel and Access). Experience in reporting, data validation and strong attention to detail. Project management abilities. Good written and verbal communication skills.
